Ingredients: Fresh fish peppers, apple cider vinegar, salt
Snake Oil is the only hot sauce made from fish peppers grown on family farms in Maryland and Pennsylvania. The peppers are ground, aged in oak barrels, and brewed following Woodberry Kitchen chef Spike Gjerde’s signature recipe that “balances its pure heat with acidity and fruity richness” (according to The New York Times!). This tangy red sauce – designed as a perfect companion to an oyster – has become a new Baltimore icon.
